Friday Mission(s)

First and foremost, happy Friday.

Secondly, I hope it’s a good one. A strong end to a short week.

The MN State Government is still shut. They’ve brought in the experts.

The Parks are closed. I say we move to the forests, especially after Afton State Park and a handful of others were so righteously (I use that word in an opposite manner) impeded upon earlier this week. So respect the parks for meow. Let’s move unto vaster land.

But, my good friend Chris Collins is in Indiana right now attending UIFI, a premier Fraternity and Sorority leadership event experience. He’ll be back Monday. You can follow his exploits on the tab labeled Collins’ Blog.

Regardless, stay classy this weekend, Mankato. Here we’ve got a little festival going on. Just be safe. And don’t urinate in public (we, the students, helped make it a heck of a lot easier for people to never again get away with public urination). Take some pride in your city. You’re not just a student; you’re a citizen. It’s easy to hate. So try doing something difficult–like helping the town and institution in the geographic position you’ve wound up in. Do the more. I will.

Adieu.
